Gabriel
Vicente Barrantes Álvarez is a Chilean doctor in social anthropology who is specialist
in the area of sports in groups. He graduated in the Universidad de Chile in
the year 2019, then he went to Mexico to get his grade of magister in
anthropology of sports in the Universidad de Guadalajara and finally he get the
range of doctor in anthropology of team sports in the Universidad de Buenos
Aires.
He worked
for the Ministerio del deporte in Chile creating activities that promote the
doing of sports in daily life. Also he did different researches of the pros and
cons of endure a sport life for the same institution. Actually he works for an investigation
of the behavior of the teams out of the hours of training and matches in the
region of Valparaiso with the collaboration of others professionals linked in
the same subject. Also he works in the areas of the lack of water and how that affects
in the doing of sports.
Others
areas of interest that he had are the study of different foods and kinds of cuisine
in the different areas of Chile, and the relationship between cats and humans
in the actual extreme south of Chile. Most of their works are based in Chilean territory.
One of he’s
biggest work has an investigation of the damage of not having sport habitude in
the years 2030’ and how this is based in a children’s coming apocalypse idea.
